FOLKLORE Exhibition

The ‘Folklore’ Exhibition was a project organised and curated by myself and the Lucky Frog Studio in Brighton, November 2023.

Funded by local organisations, the exhibition featured 35 Brighton based illustrators at the Phoenix Art Building on the theme of ‘Folklore’.

My illustrations were based on the Welsh Folklore of the Tylwyth Teg; devilish fairies that only liked to be seen by humans when they want to. These fairies also chose how they appeared…either friendly and endearing – or devilish; and bad things followed when they were seen without their consent.

‘You Mustn’t See the Fairies’ are two mushroom illustrations on Fine Art Giclée, with hand-drawn UV ink fairies.
